HOW TO MAKE YOUR PLANS SUCCEED

HOW TO MAKE YOUR PLANS TO SUCCEED

By SOUGHTOUT E. MATTHEW

INTRODUCTION:

Plans are blueprints for achieving a desired goal. They are strategies for getting things done. They are lay down procedures for                     accomplishing desired goals or to succeed in achieving your plan.

It is crucial to note that planning is of man; but direction is of God.

The Bible confirmed:

“A person plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps”. Proverb 16:9

It’s our duty to come up with plan(s) on how to get things accomplished; but it is the duty of God to order our steps on how to get things accomplished when we are obedient in committing our plans to Him.

It is written:

“People do the planning, but the end result is from the LORD.Entrust your work to the LORD, and your planning will succeed”. Proverb 16:1, 3

PER-REQUISITES TO MAKE YOUR PLANS TO SUCCEED

The following are required:

1. HAVE A GOAL YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE.

You can’t achieve what you don’t want.

2. HAVE A DETERMINATION AND DESIRE TO ACHIEVE THE GOAL.

What you don’t made up your mind to achieve, you cannot be compelled to pursue.

3. HAVE A GOOD PLAN TO ACHIEVE THE GOAL

Not every plan is good enough to help you achieve your aim. You need a good plan to get things done.

4. COMMIT YOUR PLAN TO GOD IN PRAYERS AND SEEK DIRECTION FROM HIM IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL.

It is written:

“With God nothing is impossible”. Luke 1:37

When God is not involved in our plans, we may labour in vain. But if He is in support of us or our plans, it becomes unstoppable.

“If God doesn’t build the house, the builders only build shacks. If God doesn’t guard the city, the night watchman might as well nap”. Psalm 127:1-2

“What, then, can we say about all of this? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31

5. PURSUE YOUR GOAL RELENTLESSLY, FOLLOWING YOUR PLAN AND BE SENSITIVE TO KNOW AND FOLLOW GOD’S DIRECTIONS.

Nothing ventured, nothing succeed.

It’s also important to understand that God is a game-plan changer. You may come up with a plan; but He can order your steps to His own plan to get things done so that all glory should be giving to Him. So, we need to follow His directions and never trust in our own understanding.

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”.
Proverbs 3:5-6
