Growth is simply defined as increase in size, height, width, number, etc. In a nut shell you can say that growth is increase and development.
It is the will of God that we should grow. This is because; it is the Creator’s intention that every living creatures of His should grow.
When we fail to grow, we fail to fulfill purpose. So, we must have to grow.
FOUR MAJOR AREAS OF OUR LIFE THAT GOD EXPECT US TO GROW
These major areas our Creator expects us to grow are in our physical life, intellectual life, financial/material life and spiritual life.
MAJOR DETERMINANT OF GROWTH
To grow physically, time is of essence. It is in the process of time we growth. To grow intellectually, learning is required. It’s through the process of learning we increase in knowledge. To grow financially/materially we need to walking according to
Divine covenants and principles. And to grow spiritually, obedience is required.
In the school of obedience, there are difficult and easy platforms, as well as knowing and unknowing platforms. But in whatever platform you find yourself or God ask you to do anything, you have to be obedient to Him and His word.
REQUIREMENTS FOR OBEDIENCE
Two major things needed for one to become a person of obedience are:
It was written concerning Abraham:
” By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.” Hebrews 11:8
Most people that Jesus healed where the people that obeyed Him by doing what seems difficult but not impossible. So, there is no impossible task anywhere. The only challenge us lack if faith.
By faith for obedience you can grow in enjoying God’s miracles in your life.
The next requirement is:
As faith comes by hearing the word of God, obedience comes by learning from what we suffer.
It is written concerning Jesus Christ:
“Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered” Hebrews 5:8
We shouldn’t be afraid of identifying with the fellowship of His suffering. This is because; there is obedience to learn.
We are bound to grow through obedience but we must learn it through what we pass through.
