FATHERS MUST HEAR THIS!
SOUGHTOUT EMEKA MATTHEW
The greatest legacy fathers should leave for their children, children’s children and their generations next is a good walk with God. I mean a walk of obedience to God, His commandments, status and precepts.
Little did we know how much God is willing to do in our children’s lives or give to them because of our obedience to Him as fathers.
Here is what the God said to Isaac:
” Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.” Genesis 26:3-5
God didn’t say that because of the obedience of Isaac’s mother but of that of his father. This is to show men how importance their obedience to God is for their generation next.
Most of us whose fathers lived and died and those their fathers is still alive that have not been living a life of obedience to God perhaps might have not been enjoying much blessings of God as we ought because of no such legacy left for us by our patriarchs.
No we have heard this truth, is it not right for us to start a better walk with God? Is it not going to be wonderful for us to hear in eternity that our children and generations are enjoying great blessings from God all because, we obeyed the Lord and kept His charges, commandments, statues and laws?
Remember, the blessings of your obedience walk with the Lord can out live you. You’ll live to enjoy it and still leaves it for the next generation. This is a food for thought!
May i finally leave you with this, Won’t you dare to obey the Lord to enjoy His blessings and also leave for your children and children’s children as well as your entire generations?
